Ice Storm, Oh My!

Well, we're about to be hit by a "monster winter storm!!!!" Oh my!!!!!!!!!

Just kidding! :) You'd just have to live out here to know how crazy these people are when there is even a 0...01% chance that we might get a snowflake or a drop of ice. Now I understand that ice and snow can be dangerous, but wow! do these people overreact!!! Seriously, the "storm" is supposed to come in late tonight and continue through tomorrow afternoon, eventually turning to just rain. This morning, they were already out treating roads -of course, they probably have something like 3 snow plows for the whole county ;) so they may have had to do that to get all these roads and interstates out here covered. But, the most hilarious thing I have ever heard was when they broke into regular radio programming to use the emergency broadcast system to announce this "Winter Storm Warning" that wouldn't hit for almost 24 more hours!!!! Hysterical!!!!!!!!!

Our first year out here, we missed two days in a row because there was the threat for some slight freezing rain. I have never in my life missed school for the "threat" of anything. It was comical when people found out that we went out in that terrible weather! Of course, I should say that when school is closed here teachers still have to go in or take a day without leave, use a personal day, a sick day, etc. My principal is nice enough to let us make up the time if we can't get in due to bad roads. So if tomorrow is really, truly icy, I am going to stay home and relax, do school work from here, nap, and play a game or watch a movie with the kids and Rob, if he's home. No sense in letting these inexperienced drivers kill me or wreck my car! :)

Well Everyone we have a baby

Our new Grandbaby Stacie Marie Ingram was born on Monday morning at 9:49 am she weighed in at 6 lbs and 8 ounces, she is 19 inches long and has a head full of brown hair, I havent yet seen her, but hear her cry when they call and chat every night, she sounds like Cody did she has a good cry and a great appetite so I've been told. Cody even has changed dirty diapers, (something his father never would) so he's taking to being a Father nicely, they are both exhausted as most new parents are so be praying for them that God will guide them the right way.....
Well got to get to bed, last night was rough Justin has been sick...but is better now.....Love you all and hope that all are well.......Maria'

Hi Everyone

Well its 12:56 and I am nowhere near sleep, just thinking and praying for my kids, as I do when sleep eludes me which it seems is all the time here lately, my leg just has a mind of its own and seems to want to cramp up on me when I try to get still and lay down, so you may say don't, and I don't....but a grumpy me is not to nice to deal with in the am (the kids catch the bus at 6:15) M-F so its coffee then bus.......Wow how you kids seem to just sprout and grow so quickly, it seems like yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital, now look at you, we have to look up at you....don't get mad at us when we call you your pet names and want to hold you a little longer, its hard to let go.......but that we must but we don't really because your always in our hearts, and in Gods hands he will walk with us both....

Well Cody called and they picked the colors for the wedding and they are (are you ready?) Mint Green and Black, this is what they want to use and I will acquiesce as its their day....I pray God will walk with them....daily in their new little family, with their new (or soon to be) little one....this is new to me so if I rant I don't mean to.....becoming a MIL and NaNa all in the same month....so its new chartered territory....Just keep them in prayer please, I don't even know if Sarah is a Christian or not or what kind of background she is from.

The Debates

Did you watch the debates tonight? We did. It was Barbara's first time to watch presidential debates so she is now asking her daddy a ton of questions!!! :) It was interesting, as usual, to watch the personalities and the way questions were answered, or not, and to try to explain things to the Babster too.

Now that it's almost 11:00 here on the east coast, I'm going to get ready for bed.

IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!!!!
Finally someone responded. Hallelujah! Our family blog is started. God only knows where we'll go now. You never know with this lot.

I don't want to go to school!!!!!

Well tommorow I have to go back to school and I really don't want to. However I can't wait to talk to my friends again. I can't wait until school is over cause I really love summer. This blog will probally be kind of random so deal with it. Today in the mail I got a magazine with prom dresses and I was looking at them. I have to talk to my friend Travis cause we talked last year about going to prom together and it is coming up in April. At youth group my friend April who is a senior in high school is going to prom and was looking at my magazine. Her mom isn't involved with her life much and she was asking are youth leaders wife if she could go shopping for a dress with her and so April, Amanda, my mommy and me are going to go shopping for dresses in a couple of weeks. I will bring a camara and have my mom take some pictures so you all can see. If I go to prom I will put some pictures of that to but it wont be until April or May. I need a job and tommorow after school I am going to apply for a job at little Cesears were my friend April just got a job a couple days of go and she said they are still hiring and so I am going to get an application tommorow after swim practice. I will have to bring some nicer clothes of dress up a little better so I look nice when I go in. So everybody please pray that I get a job. I would really like to go to prom with this guy I like at school, his name is Darren but I don't know him that well maybe in a couple of months I might ask him. I would be so happy if I went with him to prom. But if not I will go with Travis which would be a lot of fun cause Travis and me are really good friends. Well thats all.
